AI & UPL Disclaimer

Last updated: August 30, 2026

Regula LLC (“Regula,” “we,” “us”) is not a law firm. We do not provide legal advice, legal representation, or legal opinions of any kind, and no attorney-client relationship is formed by using our website, portal, or services.

1. No Attorney-Client Relationship

Nothing on this website, in our marketing materials, in any communication from Regula, or in any document generated by the platform constitutes legal advice or creates an attorney-client relationship between Regula and any person or entity, including the licensed attorneys who use the platform and any of their clients. Only a licensed attorney can provide legal advice or represent a client in a legal matter.

2. Nature of Our Services

Regula is software: an AI-powered platform that helps a licensed attorney draft motions and pleadings, organize discovery and evidence, and track a caseload. Regula has no paralegal or drafting staff and does not perform legal work on anyone’s behalf. Every document the platform generates is produced by generative AI at the direction of, and for the sole use of, the attorney operating the account — the same way a word processor, a research database, or any other legal-technology tool would be used by that attorney.

3. AI-Generated Content & Your Duty to Verify

Content generated by Regula, including drafted motions, pleadings, case summaries, and legal citations, is produced by artificial intelligence and is provided as a drafting aid only. AI-generated content can be incomplete, outdated, or factually incorrect, and can include citations to cases, statutes, or rules that do not exist or do not say what they appear to say. Regula does not independently verify the legal or factual accuracy of any AI-generated output before it is delivered to you.

The attorney using Regula is solely responsible for independently reviewing, verifying, editing, and exercising professional judgment over every draft — including confirming that any case law, statute, or citation is real, current, and correctly applied — before relying on it, signing it, communicating it to a client, or filing it with any court or agency. This responsibility cannot be delegated to Regula and is consistent with an attorney’s duty of competence under Rule 1.1 of your jurisdiction’s rules of professional conduct, including the duty to understand the benefits and risks of the technology used in a representation, and with the duty of confidentiality under Rule 1.6 when submitting client information to any software tool.

4. No Guarantee of Outcome

We make no representation or warranty regarding the outcome of any legal matter, filing, or proceeding. Past results referenced anywhere in our materials are not indicative of future outcomes and do not constitute a promise or guarantee.

5. Not a Substitute for Legal Counsel

If you need legal advice about a specific situation, you should consult a licensed attorney in your jurisdiction. Use of our services does not substitute for the independent judgment of a licensed attorney.
