Refund & Cancellation Policy

1. Monthly Subscription Tiers

• Subscriptions renew automatically each billing cycle and may be cancelled at any time from your account billing settings, effective at the end of the current billing period.
• Fees already billed for the current billing period are non-refundable, including if you cancel partway through the period or use only a portion of the plan’s included requests.
• You retain access to the Services, and any requests already in progress continue to be completed, through the end of the paid billing period.
• We reserve the right to suspend or cancel a subscription for non-payment, abuse, or violation of our Terms of Service.

2. Custom Legal Drafting Requests & Deposits

Custom drafting requests outside a subscription plan, or requiring a deposit, are billed separately. Once a deposit has been paid and a paralegal or drafter has begun substantive work on the request, the deposit is non-refundable, regardless of whether the final draft is used, filed, or approved by the supervising attorney or customer. If a request is cancelled before any substantive work has begun, we will refund the deposit less any non-recoverable processing fees.

3. Requests to Cancel a Specific Item

To cancel a subscription or an individual request, contact us through the portal or at the email below before work begins. Once drafting has started, the non-refundability rules in Sections 1 and 2 apply.

4. Chargebacks & Payment Disputes

Please contact us before initiating a chargeback or payment dispute with your bank or card issuer — most billing questions can be resolved directly and more quickly this way. Filing a chargeback for fees related to work that has already been performed or begun, without first attempting to resolve the issue with us, is a violation of our Terms of Service and may result in suspension of your account, referral to collections, and reversal of any associated work product license. We reserve the right to contest any chargeback with documentation of the services rendered.
